DriveThruL are looking to expand our team and are recruiting both part-time and full time Driving Instructors throughout London. There are currently a record number of learner drivers who need driving instructors due to Covid and driving test centre backlog. Join our ADI team and we will concentrate on delivering you the high quality driving instructor training and provide excellent support every step of the way for you to teach the essential driving skills to learner drivers from diverse backgrounds to drive safely and pass their driving test.

Driving Instructor Training in London

Learn to be a driving instructor with us, we pride ourselves on working closely with all our driving instructors, with years in the driving industry we know how to train driving instructors to the best of their ability. All your training will be monitored by DVSA ORDIT registered trainer, We offer help and advice through the key stages of the qualification process, and will provide a flexible, interactive approach to your training needs.

Work part time or full time

Becoming a driving instructor is great for your work-life balance. You choose the hours you want to work and slot lessons in accordingly to fit around family commitments.

Train around your current job

The advantages of trainning to become  a driving instructor allows you to change and alter the time  you train or work to accommodate most circumstances.

Be your own boss

We will guarantee you a driving school franchise (PDI and/or ADI) at DiveThruL Driving School upon qualifying. it is not compulsory for you to join with us.

Driving Instructor Training

There are three tests you must pass if you want to be a qualified instructor. These tests are performed by the Driving Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

  • Part 1

    The Theory and Hazard Perception Test

    ADI Theory and Hazard Perception Test is set out in a similar format to the theory test learner drivers need to sit. The theory test is made up of two parts;

    100 multiple choice questions related to driving instruction and the hazard perception part will be presented with 14 video clips.

  • Part 2

    The Driving Test

    The ADI part 2 test closely resembles the learner driver’s original practical driving test, The driving ability assessment consists of an eyesight test and a test of your ability to drive to a high standard.

    The duration of the driving instruction exam is approximately one hour, you must have no more than six minor faults

  • Part 3

    The Test of Instructional Ability

    ADI Part 3 is to test your ability to teach. The examiner will score you based on your competence at providing a client-centred approach driving lesson and level of risk management.

    Lesson planning, risk management teaching and learning strategies. You will be scored based on 17 areas of competence:
